Long Term Storage:

Our Pails are made in Alberta and feature a gasket on the lid to keep the seal tight. However, we currently do not offer any other long term storage accessories. These items are debatable, not everyone wants them. But If you plan to store your grain for a really long time, then you may want to consider the following items:

  • Diatomaceous earth (Food Grade)
  • Mylar packaging
  • oxygen absorbers

It is up to you to know your own storage conditions and requirements.

Grown in Alberta.

Spelt is a part of the Farro family of wheats: 'Farro Grande'. While it's history is still being researched and deabate, the earliest evidence shows it coming from Transcaucasia (North of the Black Sea). It was a major source of food in Europe centuries and was used by Roman armies due to it's high energy.

It is high in protein, dietary fibre, B vitamins and minerals.

Great for bread & pasta!
